Définition

Soit n un entier naturel non nul et E un ensemble à n éléments.
Soit p un entier naturel compris entre 0 et n.
On appelle p-combinaison de E ou combinaison de p éléments de E tout sous-ensemble de E à p éléments.

Théorème

Le nombre de p-combinaisons de E est égal au coefficient binomial (np).
